Syndol Tablets Ingredients
Four active ingredients make up the Syndol tablets ingredients. Each has its own unique use and when combined deliver a fast and powerful relief for moderate pain. The first ingredient, Caffeine is used as a stimulant. This helps speed up the messages between the body and the brain, making it a common ingredient in treating headaches and migraines. Secondly, Codeine Phosphate is another form of painkiller, however stronger, known as an opioid. When taken, it mimics the body’s natural pain reducing chemicals, called endorphins. By doing so they block the transmission of pain to the brain, decreasing any discomfort that you would otherwise feel. Thirdly, Doxylamine succinate is a first-generation antihistamine with a pronounced sedative effect. Lastly, Paracetamol works by reducing the amount of prostaglandins produced by the brain and spinal cord. These are hormones produced to signal different kinds of problems your body might be experiencing. Here is an example; when a blood vessel is injured or ruptured, a prostaglandin called thromboxane is released and stimulates the formation of a blood clot to try and heal any damage. By reducing the amount sent to your brain and spinal cord, any painful sensations produced by nerve endings will be reduced and your pain threshold increased. - No more than eight tablets should be taken within a twenty four hour period
- Do not exceed the stated dose or you risk overdosing
- One to two tablets every six hours when necessary, with up to a maximum of eight tablets within a twenty four hour period.
